Pragmata<\/strong> is Capcom\u2019s newest wild animal to be unleashed on the world in April, 2026. It stars you as Hugh, an astronaut on what was supposed to be a rescue mission which goes horribly wrong (because, of course, it\u2019s a game). There you meet Diana, a little AI android girl who you immediately fall in love with, who is not just the \u201cprincess to be saved\u201d but becomes your actual usable partner in crime.<\/p>\n

The game was released, as previously stated, in both the US and Japan in April of 2026 for every major console: PC, XBox, PlayStation, Switch 2. Videos have been released on the overall performance of the game on each system with a plethora of channels on YouTube dedicated to gameplay and YT Shorts, so there\u2019s no shortage of visual information out there about.<\/p>\n

This game is without controversy as social media has gone extreme on every major side. The Dadvocate, a popular YouTuber mom who advocates for men\u2019s rights, on April 26th, posted a video regarding the overall reaction to this game (I\u2019ll get into my own thoughts here about it soon). Bringing you all up to speed, most of you asking, \u201cWhat\u2019s wrong about this game, why is it so divisive? Isn\u2019t it universally loved,\u201d hold on, I\u2019ve got your answer.<\/p>\n

The Dadvocate\u2019s video explores two different types of negative reactions. One of them being from what are called \u201cchomos\u201d in prison slang. The other from SWJ feminists. The Dadvocate reports that Reddit has had to close down quite a bit of subreddits due to the overflowing influx of child predators making sexualized comments about Diana. Meanwhile, feminists on X are talking about \u201ccutting out their uterus\u201d so that they don\u2019t have to play this game anymore.<\/p>\n

Needless to say, there is quite a bit here to unpack about this game even before I give my review of it.<\/p>\n

The PsyOp Conspiracy<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s no secret that at this game\u2019s core, the father-daughter dynamic between Hugh and Diana is front and center. Many have suggested that this could be a middle finger to feminists while others, also according to The Dadvocate (same video) suggest that it\u2019s too fake; that men don\u2019t act like this and that there is no paternal instinct with children that are not their own, saying, according to a X user, \u201cmen don\u2019t experience \u2018paternal instinct\u2019 until their own child is born.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hassan Piker, nephew of The Young Turks\u2019 Cenk Ugyr, goes on record (also from the same video) saying that \u201cgamers, who will never get laid,\u201d are \u201cLARPing\u201d (live-action role playing) \u201cwanting to become fathers.\u201d Piker goes on to note that the conversation needs to end where gamers are concerned, because they\u2019ll never be touched by a woman much less have sex and produce offspring.<\/p>\n

Piker is part of the crowd, along with feminists, who do NOT want you to play this game. In fact, they hate the idea of children so much that\u2026.<\/p>\n

Full stop! This is going to get political, because it is.<\/strong> Politics has A LOT to do with the backlash that this game is receiving. Especially in non-American politics, you know, where the idea of this game stems from.<\/p>\n

Japanese culture has basically forced people into a sexless, childless, unmarried lifestyle that is physically draining and heavy on the self-unaliving, so much so that Japan is about to top South Korea and China for the number one spot in self-termination rates.<\/p>\n

Also known as suicide, for those who are keeping score.<\/p>\n

Because of this, Japan is seeing a massive drop in population. No one is wanting to stay home because the demands of Japanese rules and society are more oppressive than the North Korean government. By 2100, if current trends continue, Japan is estimating that the worldwide Japanese population will reach zero ushering in the new century with absolutely no Japanese individual alive on the mainland. This is a massive political problem as Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has effectively closed immigration into Japan for those wanting to make Japan their home: she says \u201cno thanks\u201d and her middle finger becomes power in November of 2026 when the first of her anti-immigration reforms are set to go into effect.<\/p>\n

The creators of Pragmata know this is an issue and with more and more foreigners also going, \u201cEh, no thanks, Takaichi isn\u2019t worth the trouble,\u201d there\u2019s only one thing left for them to do.<\/p>\n

Create a game that encourages fatherhood.<\/p>\n

Yes, this game is specifically designed with gamers in mind, with players who enjoy casual gaming, to seek a partner, get married, have children, and (oh my gosh the horror) NURTURE THEM! By having the player interact with Diana, to protect her, to make her happy, the goal is to encourage players (not just men but men especially, because Japan) to want this for themselves, for real.<\/p>\n

Thus, the psyop conspiracy. Which, if you really look at all of the evidence yourself, isn\u2019t exactly a conspiracy. The game developers knew what they were doing when they unleashed Pragmata on the world.<\/p>\n

Taking this approach is a drastic reversal on Japan\u2019s traditional way of handling the population shortage. They believed that, until now, children aren\u2019t being born because Japan is a largely sexless society. Thus, they encourage more sex to happen – open porn available in supermarkets and convenience stores (in full view of children, by the way), over-sexualization of announcers (Japanese idol girls hired to become weather girls on Weather News), TV announcers encouraged to do porn as well, etc., all in an effort to get people laid and thus eliminating the \u201csexless image\u201d Japan has.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not working. Working men have been, and always will be, going to Kabukicho in Shinjuku, Dogenzaka in Shibuya, Sakuragi-Cho in Yokohama, Sakae in Nagoya, to get their rocks off – no marriage, no children. The whole plan had backfired and clearly encouraging sin and debauchery isn\u2019t helping the issue at all.<\/p>\n

Capcom came up with a brilliant solution. Instead of making people horny, make people\u2019s maternal\/paternal instincts hit Warp 9.975, five minutes into gameplay, and make them want to be parents<\/strong>! Clearly, people are still doing the nasty – it\u2019s just empty and full of STDs.<\/p>\n

Only time will tell if this works out or not.<\/p>\n

The question no one asked: does it work on ME?<\/p>\n

Already married, two kids (1 teenager) so this gamer\/trekker\/trekkie\/railroad\/Christian geekwad already gets what Hugh goes through in this game. So\u2026 yes, it works! I want another baby but my kids are enough for me.<\/p>\n

Wait\u2026 this isn\u2019t about me! This is about Pragmata! So, let\u2019s get into it.<\/p>\n
