Star Trek is Anti Star Trek
It really doesn’t take much effort to find what the left is deeming “toxic fandom.” The so-called “toxic fans” are described as racists, bigots, Nazis, and everything else because they dislike the current iteration of STAR TREK. Since 2017, Paramount has gone out of its way to making sure that TREK is taken away from long time fans, and given to a new generation who simply doesn’t care about STAR TREK or what STAR TREK truly means. If you disagree with the agenda, you’re not a true TREK fan, and that’s the bottom line.
In all of its forms, until the end of STAR TREK ENTERPRISE in 2005, STAR TREK has truly been about the spirit of IDIC: infinite diversity in infinite combinations. That has been the moral compass behind the franchise. STAR TREK was never about “woke” ideologies, not even close. TREK always treated the viewer as mature, allowing them to make up their own mind. This was explored in the last piece on this site, but the emphasis on toxic fandom really has taken a turn.
For the worst.
Anthony Pascale’s Folly
To give a bit of background, we need to go back to 2004 when Les Moonves, then the head of Paramount, giddily pulled the plug on STAR TREK ENTERPRISE. He allowed the show, which had started to gain back viewers with their season three Xindi war arc, to be preempted by local sports, and allowed investors to bail out after season two. Anthony Pascale, a self-proclaimed “Trek super fan,” attempted to rally the troops and send Paramount millions in order to fully pay for a fifth season. His campaign also included a Bjo Trimble-style letter writing initiative as well as a demonstration in front of Paramount Studios in LA.
History records that this effort didn’t just die, it never got off the ground. Pascale’s fundraising campaign didn’t even break $500,000 and there’s been no word as to whether or not he refunded that money to donors. Also, the letter campaign didn’t produce any fruit. The demonstration garnered a fraction of the turnout when George Takei led the effort for a Sulu series (a soft pilot was filmed as an episode of STAR TREK VOYAGER entitled “Flashback.” The result of this was also fruitless) which only saw a 500-person demonstration. By comparison, nobody showed up to Pascale’s and the entire movement died right then and there.
Since then, Pascale has managed to weasel his way into DVD special features for some reason. He founded the website TREKMOVIE, which touts itself as the authority in STAR TREK. Today, Trekmovie exists as a hotbed for toxic trolls and the tens of fans who actually watch NuTrek, today.
The Discussion is Over
Today, Pascale personally admins the site as its gestapo police force. The site currently exists in a fascist state where free speech is stifled. The site champions the seeming gaff in STARFLEET ACADEMY where Robert Picardo’s EMH misquotes a very prolific line featured in THE NEXT GENERATION’s “The Drumhead.”

The issue was in the EMH’s delivery of this line. He stopped between “censured” and “us” where there should be no pause. The retcon was not a mistake in the writers part. On the contrary, it was a statement about how speech is violence. The removal of “chains” was deliberate because leaving it in was problematic for the forced ramming of the message down our throats.
Trekmovie is the personification of censorship.
Dissenters are Trolls
If you don’t like STARFLEET ACADEMY then you have a problem. You’re a troll. You’re sexist. You’re a racist. And, if that wasn’t enough, you’re MAGA. Yes, they invoke Donald Trump because why not! Pascale is leading the charge. While he’s entitled to create an echo chamber if he wants, he’s no better than Adolph Hitler in his methods.
If they can do it, I can do it, too. Watch.
He exercised his right to close a thread because someone didn’t like ACADEMY. Whiny crybaby Pascale demonstrates his true love for Trek by not allowing comments like these. Again, it’s his right to but it’s our right to expose fascism for what it is.
There is nothing wrong with this original comment. The poster simply said, “I don’t like it.” A tender snowflake user points and screams like a deranged Karen, “TROLL! NOT OF THE BODY! LAWGIVERS!!”
Yes this exact reality was depicted in the STAR TREK episode “The Return of the Archons.” In this installment, the Kirk and crew investigate a harmonious planet where even the slightest dissent is punishable by reeducation. The citizenry act a certain way most of the day, but when “red hour” strikes, the looting, carnage and rape begin. Those who don’t participate are severely punished.
Just like North Korea, Nazi Germany, and now, STAR TREK.

Trekmovie is NOT Isolated
This gem comes from another social media post. Anthony Farley is a follower of woke rhetoric that is echoed by the ANTIFA terrorist group that literally is violent and attacks whites. “I don’t care about race” means you’re KKK. Having a non white mate means you’re a colonizer or slave driver. The problems with this kind of language is that “I’m not racist. YOUR ARE” usually comes at a cost of… being an actual racist, just like Farley is in this post – an actual racist.
STAR TREK has become a cesspool of this type of toxicity. It doesn’t exist, for the most part, on the side that values and cherishes classic STAR TREK. 100% of the vitriol is coming from the fans of NuTrek. Their message is clear:
